Pastor Tony L. Mason

Pastor Tony Mason was born to Ruth N. Mason and the late Herbert L. Mason. He is the oldest of five siblings.  Raised in Petersburg, Virginia, he credits his paternal grandmother, Carrie McNear and his mother, Ruth Mason as being the powerful influences in his life. His life was impacted significantly by his relationship with his grandmother, Carrie McNear. She made an indelible impression through her ability to articulate the stories in the Bible. His grandmother’s wisdom and anointed prayer life served to strengthen Pastor Mason in the Word of God. Upon graduating from high school, Pastor Mason enlisted in the United States Army, where he faithfully served for over twenty years. He also served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

In 2005, Pastor Mason had an encounter with God.  This supernatural experience would prove to be the spiritual transformation of his life.  God admonished Pastor Mason into greater accountability and submission in the areas of holiness and sanctification. Pastor Mason also received a prophetic confirmation and answered his call from God to ministry.   Pastor Mason is married Prophetess Joyce Mason.

Pastor Mason was licensed as a minister of the Gospel in January 2006 and ordained as an Elder in September 2007.  Having faithfully served in their previous ministry assignment for a combined period of 13 years, Pastor Mason and Evangelist Mason stepped out in faith to answer the call of God.  On October 9th, 2009 Pastor Mason and Evangelist Joyce Mason held the first services for Touch by the Word Ministries in their home with just six members.  Pastor Mason is first and foremost, a servant-leader, ordained by God, called to shepherd His people.  He’s anointed to teach and preach the Word of God with power, simplicity and relevancy.

His educational accomplishments include a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from NOVA Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale Florida (February 2005) and a Master’s of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Church Ministries from Liberty Theological Seminary and Graduate School, Lynchburg, Virginia (March 2010); and a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration (2000) from Columbia College of Columbia Missouri.
